General Warehouse Associate (2:30 PM - 11 PM)

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a General Warehouse Associate in Groveport, OH, working Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, with overtime as needed. This is a full-time, non-exempt position starting at $18.50 per hour, with a pay range of $18.50-$21.25. The associate works across several departments of a distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing and replenishment, and operates material handling equipment to move inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies and equipment to designated areas.
• Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.
• Verify the quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.
• Collect items for customer orders using packing list information, including building and wrapping pallets.
• Inspect stock for wear and defects and notify management of inventory issues.
• Return misplaced products to their proper storage areas.
• Maintain a clean work environment in line with safety policies and perform inventory control as needed.
• Refer complex problems to the supervisor and exercise judgment under general supervision.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age and able to pass a drug test.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, walk, move, push and pull product, and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to train to operate order/cherry picker, reach, clamp or similar equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• HS diploma or GED strongly preferred; generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
