General Surgery Officer Position with Up to $700k Bonus

About the role
The U.S. Navy is seeking final‑year General Surgery residents, fellows, and board‑eligible or board‑certified General Surgeons to join the Active Duty Medical Corps. Officers will provide comprehensive surgical care to Sailors, Marines, retirees and their families while enjoying a structured career path, competitive compensation and unique professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Perform a broad spectrum of general surgical procedures in a military medical setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to deliver high‑quality patient care.
- Provide surgical care for active‑duty service members, retirees and dependents without production quotas.
- Participate in advanced training, leadership development, humanitarian missions and potential overseas deployments.
Required profile
- MD or DO from an accredited institution (or ECFMG certified).
- Completion of an ACGME‑accredited General Surgery residency (or in final year).
- Board certified or board‑eligible in General Surgery (or in final year of residency).
- U.S. citizenship and age between 21 and 64.
Required skills
- General Surgery training and procedural competence.

- Starting annual compensation of $325,000–$379,000 plus up to $700,000 in sign‑on and incentive bonuses.
