General Superintendent – Construction Operations

About the role

High Country Fence is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple fencing projects. The role combines hands‑on site management with strategic oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Director of Field Operations and project managers to align field teams with company goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily execution of multiple active projects from mobilization through completion.
• Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate construction activities, supervise foremen and laborers, and manage logistics for materials, equipment, and workforce.
• Monitor project progress, track production, and ensure schedules and budgets are met.
• Maintain quality control and handle project close‑outs in collaboration with project teams.
• Communicate regularly with client site managers and internal project managers regarding scheduling, progress, and on‑site issues.
• Implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, performance, and profitability.
• Identify production or cost issues and coach field personnel to resolve them.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading field crews and managing multiple construction projects.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and ability to enforce compliance.
• Excellent coordination skills with both field and office leadership.
• Effective communication with clients, project managers, and team members.
• Ability to optimize resource deployment and resolve on‑site challenges.
