General Service Front/Back Shop

About the role

Monro, a family of automotive service and tire dealer brands, is hiring a General Service Front/Back Shop employee in its Towson location. The role is full-time, pays $16.00-$19.00 per hour and is eligible for additional incentives. It is a secondary key carrier covering both front and back shop duties.

Key responsibilities

• Complete Monro's training program so the Guest Care Specialist can run the Monro selling process.
• Be the first point of contact for guests on the phone and in the store: engage guests, schedule appointments, build trust, understand needs, explain processes and timelines, and present services.
• Organize and drive the productivity of the service business through estimate and invoice transactions.
• Assist with guest care, work order completion, register assistance, facility maintenance and outside purchase ordering under management's direction.
• Handle opening and closing duties and follow cash, credit, check, refund and return policies.
• Work with management on guest service issues, complaints and business opportunities, and communicate all products and services offered.
• Adhere to company policies, government standards and ANSI/OSHA safety requirements, and help maintain a safe, healthy workplace.
• Keep the guest waiting area organized and neat, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Current valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report; able to operate customers' vehicles for test drives.
• Owns a basic set of tools or joins Monro's tool purchase program.

Preferred qualifications

• ASE certification and a State Inspection license (where applicable).
