General Manager – New Plant, Rotating Equipment Services

About the role

We are seeking a General Manager to launch and lead our flagship facility in Pasadena, TX. This is a build‑out role where you will establish culture, recruit the team, and set operational standards for a high‑variability, low‑volume shop serving Gulf Coast refining and petrochemical customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own full site performance – safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Lead daily operations across machining, assembly, balancing and inspection of centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, axial and screw compressors, and hot‑gas expanders.
• Recruit, train and develop craft labor and functional leads from the ground up.
• Drive KPI visibility, cycle‑time reduction and continuous‑improvement initiatives as the facility scales.
• Act as the operational face of the organization to sophisticated API‑standard customers.

Required profile

• 10+ years of operations leadership with full accountability for a standalone manufacturing or repair facility.
• Deep experience in low‑volume, project‑oriented shop environments.
• Technical fluency in rotating equipment repair to earn credibility with customers.
• Proven culture‑builder who is direct, accountable and collaborative.
• Heavy‑industrial or rotating‑equipment background is a strong differentiator.
• Lean, 5S or process‑improvement experience preferred.
• Engineering degree (mechanical or industrial) preferred, but real‑world results are paramount.
