General Manager

About the role

The General Manager leads a McDonald's franchise restaurant, ensuring it operates profitably while delivering the brand’s high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. This role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and day‑to‑day operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Drive restaurant profitability by meeting financial targets and controlling costs.
• Maintain McDonald's Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
• Set restaurant goals with senior leadership and develop action plans to achieve them.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate Department Managers, helping them set and meet their own objectives.
• Recruit, train, and develop Department and Shift Managers to build a strong leadership pipeline.
• Monitor key performance indicators and implement improvements across all departments.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a General Manager in a high‑volume quick‑service or hospitality environment.
• Strong background in restaurant, hospitality, or retail operations.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Proven ability to lead teams, set goals, and drive results.
