General Foreman – Construction

About the role

Aecon is seeking an experienced General Foreman to lead construction crews on complex infrastructure projects. You will coordinate daily activities, ensure safety compliance, and act as the primary point of contact between the workforce, clients, and project leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews to safely execute construction, installation, and repair work.
• Interpret blueprints and construction drawings to plan and sequence work activities.
• Ensure required materials, equipment, and resources are available on site.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, quality assurance teams, and project managers.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards, reporting any incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a foreman or similar supervisory role in construction.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and commitment to a safety‑first culture.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
