General Facilities Maintenance Technician

About the role

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep its stores running smoothly. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of commercial equipment, ensuring safety and reliability for both staff and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment.
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned PMs on time.
• Manage work orders, maintenance logs, expense vouchers, and weekly summaries.
• Provide training to Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.
• Maintain clear communication with team members and customers regarding service status.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment).
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean record for at least 3 years.
• Eligibility for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Strong customer‑service orientation and respectful communication.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing demands.
• Commitment to servant‑leadership and teamwork.
