Field Engineer

About the role

MMR is looking for a Field Engineer to join its Alexandria, LA team. You will support field installation activities across a range of sectors, including oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, and renewable energy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct walkdowns, layout verification, and site surveying to confirm design intent.
• Relay RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications to frontline supervisors.
• Identify and resolve constructability issues and interpret design documents.
• Support quality inspections by providing completed tag lists.
• Maintain as‑built documentation and update daily progress and quantity reports.
• Coordinate directly with foremen, supervisors, and construction managers.
• Perform installation audits and generate accurate client reporting.
• Prepare constraints reports that impact productivity.

Required profile

• BS in Construction Management or a related field.
• Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications.
• Strong independent work ethic, problem‑solving, and judgment with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of estimating and controls.
