Construction Superintendent – Data Center Project

About the role

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on‑site activities for a large data‑center project located near Alexandria, Louisiana. The Superintendent will collaborate with the Project Manager, owner, and design team to ensure safe, on‑schedule, and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for maintaining an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) safety culture.
• Manage all on‑site construction activities, including coordination of trade contractors and suppliers.
• Interpret and maintain a complete set of updated construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Schedule and procure tools, equipment, and materials; ensure all personnel are trained on required tools and processes.
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks and provide updates during project start‑up and close‑out meetings.
• Monitor trade contractor performance to meet schedule and quality standards while fostering positive relationships.
• Control project schedules, cost codes, budgets, and production units; report site productivity.
• Develop and enforce site‑specific quality control plans in line with AP’s quality management program.
• Troubleshoot job‑site challenges, devise innovative solutions, and document all changes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate all inspections with city officials and government agencies.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction sites, preferably on projects up to $75 million.
• Strong commitment to safety and an incident‑free work environment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and details.
• Excellent organizational skills for scheduling, budgeting, and resource procurement.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with owners, designers, and trade contractors.
