Functions Controller (Finance Business Partner FP&A)

About the role

The Functions Controller (Finance Business Partner FP&A) supports Airbus Americas’ corporate functions by leading planning, budgeting, and financial control activities. Reporting to the Head of Central & Functions Controlling, the role ensures accurate cost reporting, drives process improvements, and provides financial insight to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly operating cost reports by cost centre and function, coordinating with other controllers to ensure data accuracy.
• Support month‑end close activities, work closely with accounting, and advise on necessary corrections.
• Review and improve cost allocation processes, ensuring consistency with headquarters.
• Conduct regular reviews with Executive Management to communicate financial performance and support achievement of operating targets.
• Lead digitalisation and automation initiatives using Tableau, SAP, Google Sheets, and other controlling tools.
• Drive AI‑based improvements for the functions controlling team and develop cross‑functional use cases with Digital and Finance Transformation teams.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.
• Proven ability to collaborate with senior leaders and multiple finance functions (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, HR, Operations).
• Leadership capability to prioritize work, manage dependencies, and act as a liaison between business units and executive management.
• Excellent communication skills to present financial information clearly and influence decision‑making.
