About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a reliable Full‑Time Forklift Operator for its Ypsilanti, MI service center. The position works the 3rd shift (Sun 10 PM‑6:30 AM, Tue‑Fri 1:30 AM‑10 AM) and offers PTO after the first 90 days.
Key responsibilities
- Move various freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.
- Operate a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
- Handle loading and unloading tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work night shifts.
- Previous forklift experience, preferably in a fast‑paced LTL setting.
Required skills
- Forklift operation.
- Reading manifests and interacting with computer displays.
