Full‑Time Cafeteria Worker

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Cafeteria Worker to support food‑service operations at the UHealth Tower. You will help prepare, serve, and maintain a clean, safe dining environment for patients, families, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and set tables, wash dishes, and maintain dining areas.
• Replenish clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes.
• Prepare salads, sauces, desserts, and other menu items.
• Operate the cash register, compute bills, and issue receipts.
• Wash pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Stock snack and soda machines as well as other retail items.
• Keep work and storage areas organized and sanitary.
• Follow food‑preparation guidelines and safety standards.
• Adhere to university policies, including CICARE and ACT patient‑centric standards.
• Assist with additional duties as needed to support the cafeteria.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of relevant food‑service experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Capability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Commitment to the university’s core values and collaborative work environment.
