Full-Time Room Attendant – Chicago

About the role

The Langham in Chicago is seeking a dedicated full‑time Room Attendant to deliver housekeeping services that meet the brand’s high standards. The role involves preparing guest rooms, maintaining cleanliness, and responding promptly to guest requests to enhance the overall stay experience.

Key responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, sinks, mirrors, tiles, and floors using appropriate tools and cleaning agents.
• Strip and make beds, change linens, and set up roll‑away beds or cribs as needed.
• Dust furniture, picture frames, window ledges, and shelves; vacuum entire rooms and empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies; ensure all items appear brand‑new.
• Manage room keys securely and return them at the end of each shift.
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness and visual appeal, signalling completion.
• Respond quickly to guest requests for items, information, or assistance.
• Report suspicious activity, hazards, or lost items to security or lost‑and‑found.
• Maintain tidy housekeeping storage areas and assist colleagues when required.

Required profile

• Physical ability to kneel, crouch, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift objects up to 50 lb (equipment up to 100 lb).
• Endurance for repetitive motions, standing for long periods, and working in confined spaces.
• Capability to work independently following established routines.
• Basic English comprehension to understand labels, instructions, and guest requests.
