Full-Time Registered Nurse Preceptor

About the role

BAYADA Home Health Care seeks an experienced Home Health RN to precept, mentor, and train newly hired RNs and LPNs while maintaining a small personal caseload. This full‑time position blends clinical care with education across Montgomery, Frederick, Washington, Howard, and Carroll Counties.

Key responsibilities

• Precept and mentor new RNs/LPNs during home visits, providing one‑on‑one clinical training and ongoing feedback.
• Monitor orientation progress, identify improvement areas, and develop new preceptors.
• Collaborate with Clinical Manager and Educator to ensure staff competencies and coordinate onboarding calendars.
• Deliver direct patient care (≥50% field time) including case management, medication administration, wound care, assessments, and documentation via tablet‑based system.
• Work with office and education teams to improve clinician retention and training consistency.

Required profile

• Active RN license in Maryland.
• Prior Medicare‑Certified Home Health experience (required; HCHB preferred).
• Passion for clinical education, coaching, and mentorship.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to lead by example.
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills
