Full-Time Registered Nurse 2 – Oncology – Hollywood, FL

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse 2 to join the University of Miami Health System’s Cancer Treatment Center in Hollywood, FL. The RN will provide direct oncology care, supporting patients through assessment, treatment planning, and coordination with the multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and monitor vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response, physician orders, and diagnostic results.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering age and cultural factors.
• Administer medications and chemotherapy safely, maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, providing feedback and guidance.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred (ASN acceptable with 2‑year BSN completion plan).
• Active Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum two years recent oncology nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Oncology chemotherapy & biotherapy administration training; oncology certification preferred.
