Full-Time Pharmacy Technician 2 (U) – UHealth Tower

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Full‑Time Pharmacy Technician 2 to join its UHealth Tower pharmacy team. Under the guidance of a pharmacist, you will prepare medications, support dispensing activities, and contribute to patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, input, and verify prescription, refill, and patient information while maintaining accurate records.
• Assist pharmacists in filling orders, preparing labels for unit doses and pre‑packaged pharmaceuticals.
• Receive, stock, and manage incoming medical supplies and drugs.
• Perform basic compounding tasks and support didactic compounding activities.
• Participate in training programs, continuing education, and cross‑training opportunities.
• Mentor less‑experienced technicians and support onboarding of new staff and students.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Active State of Florida pharmacy technician registration.

Required skills

• Medication dispensing and label preparation.
• Basic compounding techniques.
• Inventory management and restocking of pharmaceutical supplies.
