Full-Time Forklift Operator

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Forklift Operator for its Alexandria, IN service center. You will operate a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock, moving freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from trailers using a forklift.
• Navigate the dock area safely while handling various types of cargo.
• Read and follow manifests to ensure accurate shipment handling.
• Interact with computer displays to record movements and verify loads.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required profile

• Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
• Some experience with less‑than‑truckload (LTL) operations is a plus.
