Loader Supervisor

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Loader Supervisor to oversee outbound dock and dispatch operations at its Alexandria, IN service center. The role involves coordinating drivers and freight handlers, ensuring safety and quality standards, and managing the timely dispatch of LTL loads.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate dock operations and schedule drivers/freight handlers.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality freight‑handling procedures.
• Dispatch LTL loads promptly and efficiently.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Service Center Manager.

Required profile

• Proven basic leadership experience.
• Ability to lead in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and logistical skills with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of quality freight handling (preferred).
• Prior LTL leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Alexandria and surrounding areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• General computer skills.

What we offer

• Salary range $60,000‑$70,000 per year.
• Full‑time position, Monday‑Friday with various shifts.
• One week of vacation after 90 days of employment.
