Full-Time Forklift Operator – 2nd Shift

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a full‑time Forklift Operator for its Grand Rapids service center. This 2nd‑shift position (3 PM‑11:30 PM, Monday‑Friday) involves safely moving freight in and out of enclosed trailers on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload trailers up to 53 feet long.
• Handle various types of freight while adhering to safety protocols.
• Read and follow manifests and computer‑based instructions.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any issues.
• Collaborate with team members in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and able to work efficiently during the 2nd‑shift schedule.
• Prior forklift experience, preferably in a fast‑paced, LTL environment.
• Ability to read manifests and interact with a computer display.
