Full-Time Food Service Worker – Trayline

About the role

The Department of Food Services at the University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Food Service Worker – Trayline. In this role you will prepare patient meals, manage tray lines, and provide courteous service to patients, families, and visitors within the hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patient meals safely and according to menu specifications.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workspaces and dishroom areas.
• Perform patient room service and operate the tray line.
• Assemble and deliver courtesy trays.
• Portion food accurately and follow established guidelines.
• Clean, sanitize, and break down equipment and cookware.
• Adhere to University policies, CICARE and ACT standards, and safeguard assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of relevant food service experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Commitment to confidentiality and university core values.
• Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
