Full-Time Food Service Worker

About the role

Join a leading hospitality provider as a Food Service Worker in San Mateo. You will help prepare, present, and serve fresh meals in a fast‑paced café environment, supporting the team to deliver high‑quality service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure ingredients according to recipes.
• Transport pans, kettles, and trays safely between work stations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Store food following proper wrapping, dating, rotation, and safety procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain sanitation standards.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure correct quality, temperature, and portion control.
• Serve customers courteously and efficiently, handling concerns and escalating to a supervisor when required.
• Adhere to company service standards, inventory, cash control, and safety policies.

Required profile

• No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Ability to work full‑time, Monday‑Friday, with flexible hours.
• Strong attention to food safety and sanitation practices.
• Friendly, customer‑focused attitude and good communication skills.
