Full-Time Float Pharmacist

About the role

Genoa Healthcare, a pharmacy care services company within Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a full-time Float Pharmacist to cover Central and Eastern Massachusetts. The role covers prescription processing across several locations (Worcester, Milford, Marlborough, Framingham, Brockton, Quincy, New Bedford) and follows a Monday-Friday schedule of 8:00am to 5:30pm, with every other Saturday in Worcester from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provide customers with information about medications and their use
• Deliver a high level of customer service
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administer immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Perform any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Current pharmacist license in the state of Massachusetts
• Certified immunizer, or willing to become one within 3 months of hire
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Preferred: authorization to administer long-acting injectables, or willingness to obtain it within 3 months of hire

• Hourly pay of $44.00 to $79.00 for full-time employment, depending on factors such as local labor market, education, experience and certifications
