Full-Time Cafeteria Worker

About the role

The Department of Food Services at the University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Cafeteria Worker. You will support food service operations, prepare and serve food items, and keep the dining area clean and safe for patients, families, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and set tables, wash dishes, and maintain a tidy dining environment.
• Replenish clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes.
• Prepare salads, sauces, desserts, and other menu items following food‑preparation guidelines.
• Operate the cash register, compute bills, and issue receipts.
• Wash pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Stock snack and soda machines and other retail items.
• Maintain work and storage areas in an organized, sanitary condition.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in food service or cafeteria work.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Commitment to university core values and patient‑centric service.
