Full-Time Academic Physician – Internal Medicine & Pediatrics

About the role

The position is a full‑time academic appointment for an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics physician. The role combines patient care, teaching, and potential research within a collaborative primary‑care team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality treatment and diagnostic services to patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and nurses to develop customized care plans.
• Participate in teaching medical students and residents, offering leadership and guidance.
• Engage in possible medical research activities.
• Contribute leadership and input at all levels of administration.
• Support faculty activities and mentorship within the department.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
• Eligible for active Louisiana medical licensure.
• Graduating residents are welcome to apply.
• Will work under the direction of the Medicine‑Pediatrics Division Chief and Chair of Internal Medicine.
• Ready to join an expanding primary‑care team.
