Front End Coordinator - Weekends and Nights

About the role

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, part of Meijer, is hiring a Front End Coordinator in Cranberry Township. The coordinator runs the checkout lanes efficiently, handles cash and customer transactions, keeps the area tidy and maintains a friendly, energetic presence. Weekend and night shifts are a must.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the store and respond promptly to their needs
• Assist in operating all cash registers and receive payment by cash, check, credit card, gift card or automatic debit
• Scan items, enter PLU or UPC manually, and display totals, tax and rebates on the register screen
• Complete all point-of-sale transactions and keep cash under control
• Keep checkout areas clean and free of personal items
• Review customer surveys and feedback, and provide product advice to customers
• Prepare, package, stock and display merchandise; ensure products are correctly priced and out-of-code items are removed
• Handle food safety compliance, price-change compliance, ordering of manual items and ad-set signage compliance
• Mentor team members, including hourly staff, and promote a safe work environment

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of related retail experience and 1 year of management experience
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus
• Reliable, consistent attendance
• ServSafe certification completed

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial and statistical information
• Ability to consult with customers and lead a safe workplace
• Use of the production planner and fresh dashboard
