Front Desk Receptionist – Obstetrics & Gynecology

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients at our high‑volume obstetrics and gynecology practice. This full‑time position supports multiple locations in Central Florida and plays a key role in delivering a welcoming, efficient patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a positive first impression.
• Schedule appointments and manage calendars for several providers.
• Verify insurance, collect co‑pays, deductibles and balances at check‑in/out.
• Answer incoming calls, route messages and handle routine inquiries.
• Assist with insurance eligibility, benefits verification, and related administrative tasks.
• Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Perform general office duties such as scanning, faxing and data entry.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an obstetrics‑gynecology setting.
• At least 1 year customer‑service experience.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with the Athena EMR system.
