About the role

Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown is looking for a friendly, dependable Front Desk Agent to be the welcoming face of the hotel, delivering excellent service from arrival through departure. The position is full time, based in Pittsburgh, PA, and pays $17.58 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and handle check-in and check-out accurately and efficiently.
• Verify reservations, assign rooms, issue keys and explain hotel amenities and services.
• Process payments, verify billing information and keep guest accounts accurate.
• Answer calls, help with reservation inquiries and pass on guest requests to the right departments.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering on room readiness and maintenance needs.
• Resolve guest issues within your authority and involve management when needed.
• Share information on local attractions, dining, transport and hotel offerings.
• Follow procedures for guest privacy, identification, key security and payment handling.
• Maintain shift records, keep the front desk and lobby areas tidy, and follow emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Previous hotel front desk experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with reservations, payments and guest information.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and stay courteous and composed.
• Dependable, team-oriented and flexible to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to perform essential duties such as prolonged standing, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Required skills

• Comfort using computers; experience with hotel property management systems preferred.
