Front Desk Agent – Hotel Reception

About the role

The Front Desk Agent will be the first point of contact for guests at Marriott Lakeway, ensuring smooth arrivals, departures and a high‑quality guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist guests with check‑in and check‑out, handling cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Enter and retrieve guest information using the hotel’s computer system, confirming room rates and guest counts.
• Communicate guest requests, special needs and amenities to relevant departments.
• Provide information about hotel services, local attractions and respond to telephone inquiries.
• Generate and distribute daily/weekly reports and resolve room status discrepancies with Housekeeping.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Previous front desk experience, preferably with Hilton or Marriott brands.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with moderately complex computer reservation systems.
• Cash handling and credit‑card transaction processing.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
