Freight Coordinator

About the role

InProduction is seeking a Freight Coordinator to manage the movement of materials to and from job sites, warehouses, and other locations. The role involves coordinating third‑party OTR trucking, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, and handling fleet and driver maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound material movements across job sites and warehouses.
• Broker third‑party OTR trucking services and negotiate rates and contracts.
• Ensure all operations comply with DOT regulations and insurance requirements.
• Maintain driver schedules, dispatch drivers, and monitor utilization.
• Handle fleet maintenance, driver claims, and daily accounting of trucks.
• Develop and lead pricing review processes to achieve cost savings.
• Communicate load information, safety procedures, and performance feedback to drivers.
• Track key performance indicators and maintain accurate driver logs.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics or freight coordination, preferably with OTR trucking.
• Strong knowledge of DOT compliance and insurance standards.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and analyze pricing.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
