About the role
The Senior Specialist, Auction & Inventory Management oversees all aspects of auction and inventory processes, ensuring collateral loss mitigation and efficient vehicle disposition. The role generates daily eligibility reports and coordinates sales information with auction vendors.
Key responsibilities
- Audit inbound units, existing inventory, and sold units to identify and mitigate collateral losses.
- Produce daily reports on eligible inventory and communicate sales data to auction partners.
- Inspect repossessed vehicles, determine optimal repair work, and verify repair quality against Santander standards.
- Set auction timing and pricing based on market conditions, and conduct compliance audits for each sale.
- Resolve title issues, mileage discrepancies, and coordinate with government agencies and internal teams.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of auto body and mechanical experience.
- Ability to be onsite at auctions 3‑4 days per week and travel up to 4 days weekly.
- Strong written, verbal, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
