Freelance Production Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Freelance Production Assistant to support a leading fashion brand in New York City. The role bridges design, fabric development, and factory production, ensuring new styles move smoothly from concept to delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with design and fabric teams to monitor material development and manage approvals.
• Track weekly factory production status reports, assess delivery risk, and communicate updates to internal and external partners.
• Maintain the TNA calendar, oversee sample tracking, and ensure on‑time delivery of all development items.
• Send PDMs and packages to vendors, track deliveries, and keep costing and style records organized.
• Own the end‑to‑end purchase order process in collaboration with merchants and MOS.
• Prepare agendas, attend cross‑functional meetings, and perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
• At least one year of relevant experience.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with regular in‑office collaboration.

Required skills

• Experience with PLM systems.
• Proficiency in Google Docs, Gmail, and Microsoft Excel.
