Founding GTM Engineer

About the role

eQltech is recruiting a Founding GTM Engineer for a Series A fintech/EdTech startup building the infrastructure for Education Savings Accounts (ESAs). The company is a retained partner for a high-growth startup that is building a specialized charge card, reimbursement engine and vendor marketplace for parents' control of education savings. The role is full-time and in person, based in San Francisco or Phoenix, and is open to candidates with a founding-level seniority.

Key responsibilities

• Build a community-led growth engine, moving beyond paid acquisition to compounding flywheels through homeschool co-ops, education pods and micro-influencers
• Work closely with families in the field to understand what drives trust and adoption, turning those insights into concrete GTM decisions
• Instrument funnels, set up tight feedback loops and analyse cohort and retention curves with data rigor
• Own the onboarding funnel and drive toward a 500-account target

Required profile

• Academic background from a premier institution such as Stanford, Harvard, Wharton, MIT Sloan or equivalent
• 3-6 years of experience in consumer growth or GTM operations at a high-growth company
• Expertise in funnel analysis and cohort modelling
• Comfortable doing in-person field work such as events and home visits
• Understanding of the trust dynamics involved in education spending

What we offer

• Salary of USD 120,000-170,000 per year, commensurate with experience
