Founding Forward-Deployed Engineer

About the role

A stealth, seed-stage startup building an AI-powered wearable platform for industrial field technicians is hiring a Founding Forward-Deployed Engineer. The product runs a real-time computer-vision and agentic AI system on smart-glasses hardware, integrated with legacy enterprise systems such as ServiceNow, SAP and Salesforce. You will embed with large industrial customers (50,000+ employees) and ship the product on the factory floor, including the final integrations into their internal systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build API, webhook and ETL integrations into customer enterprise systems (ERP, CMMS, ServiceNow, SAP, ticketing, knowledge bases)
• Build agentic and RAG features tailored to each deployment, rather than just configuring a vendor platform
• Turn ambiguous field requirements into shipped product, working directly with customers on site

Required profile

• 1-5 years of hands-on FDE, solutions or implementation engineering shipping integrations and code
• Experience integrating enterprise systems via API, webhooks and ETL
• Has personally built agentic or RAG features
• Customer-facing, energized by industrial and field customers
• Willing to travel domestically about 25%
• Particularly valuable: industrial/legacy-enterprise deployment background and a track record of turning pilots and POCs into production

What we offer

• Salary of USD 160,000-245,000
• Equity of 0.25%-0.75%
• Visa sponsorship available (O-1, TN, E-3, H-1B1, H-1B transfer, F-1 OPT/STEM OPT)
• On-site work in the SF Bay Area with roughly 25% domestic travel; hours can flex for exceptional talent

To apply, send a resume plus a short example of an integration you shipped into a customer's existing systems.
