Fossil Project Manager

About the role

Delan Associates is seeking a Fossil Project Manager to lead Engineering & Construction (E&C) engagement across selected gas generation projects. This high‑visibility role sits at the intersection of Generation Development, Integrated Supply Chain, and E&C, driving technology due diligence, FEED studies and construction readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead E&C participation in gas technology and commercial due diligence, evaluating constructability, site integration, utility interconnection and cost positioning across combined‑cycle, simple‑cycle and peaking configurations.
• Identify and document E&C‑specific technology and commercial risks, including balance‑of‑plant alternatives, supply‑chain availability and site‑specific civil constraints.
• Provide technical and commercial input to OEM and contractor meetings, site visits and technology assessments.
• Coordinate with E&C SMEs to assess balance‑of‑plant, switchyard, transmission, gas, water and emissions compliance requirements.
• Drive technology review, capital estimate, schedule development and preliminary engineering phases for active gas projects.
• Maintain a risk register tracking scope, schedule, cost and constructability risks, and flag scope changes that impact E&C cost or schedule.
• Support commercial offtake negotiations, site permitting and interconnection processes.
• Partner with Integrated Supply Chain on procurement activities, including RFQ input and technical scope review.

Required profile

• Proven experience in gas project development and E&C environments.
• Strong discipline in budget, scope and schedule management.
• Ability to identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks.
• Effective cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder coordination.
