Forward Deployed Lawyer - Eudia for Government

About the role

Eudia, an AI-powered legal platform, is hiring a Forward Deployed Lawyer to work with Department of War (DoW) customers. You will be embedded on-site at a customer facility, including SCIF settings when required, acting as the human-AI interface for their legal work and helping shape the government product roadmap. The role suits a lawyer who has operated inside the DoW and understands how government legal offices work.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary AI legal expert embedded with DoW customers, translating their workflows and mission needs into AI-powered solutions.
• Help design, build and iterate AI-enabled workflows that compress legal work such as contract review, legal research, regulatory compliance, FOIA and litigation support from days to hours.
• Build trusted relationships with senior attorneys, JAGs and general counsel offices.
• Act as the eyes and ears for Eudia's product and engineering teams, surfacing use cases and testing capabilities in the field.
• Contribute to proposal development, task order execution and continuous improvement of the government platform.
• Train and enable government legal teams to adopt AI tools and build internal champions.

Required profile

• J.D. or equivalent legal qualification.
• Active TS/SCI clearance, or strong eligibility to obtain one; existing clearances are prioritized.
• Meaningful experience working directly within the Department of War, as a JAG officer, civilian OGC attorney or contractor with DoW legal teams.
• Hands-on proficiency with AI tools and the ability to use technology to scale legal output.
• Ability to manage complex legal matters independently in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, with strong communication across legal, technical and operational audiences.

Preferred: prior JAG Corps or DoD civilian attorney experience, experience with CDAO, OSD, Joint Staff or Combatant Command legal offices, familiarity with government contracting vehicles and task orders, experience building or deploying legal technology in a cleared environment, and prior experience at a legal technology company, AI startup or in a field-facing legal role.
