Forklift Field Service Technician – Heavy Equipment Mechanic

About the role

WMH Solutions is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support customers throughout Madison, Huntsville and the surrounding North Alabama territory. You will work from a take‑home service van, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of material‑handling and industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, fuel, engine and drivetrain systems on site.
• Perform preventive maintenance, scheduled service and warranty repairs at customer locations.
• Use diagnostic tools, schematics and service information to identify root causes of complex failures.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, manage tools, parts and inventory in the service van.
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly to customers and represent WMH professionally.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional technician, mechanic, field service, diesel, heavy‑equipment or industrial‑maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability with experience in hydraulic‑system diagnosis and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently in the field and provide clear customer communication.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for company vehicle use.
