Food Service Worker – Trayline (Full Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Food Service Worker for the trayline unit. In this onsite role you will prepare and deliver patient meals, ensuring safety, sanitation, and excellent customer service for hospital patients, families, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patient meals in a safe and sanitary manner following menu specifications.
• Maintain clean and sanitary workspaces, including dishroom procedures.
• Perform patient room service and operate the tray line.
• Assemble and deliver courtesy trays.
• Portion food accurately according to established guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, and equipment.
• Break down equipment using proper procedures.
• Follow University policies, CICARE and ACT standards, and safeguard assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant food‑service experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Commitment to confidentiality and University core values.
• Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
