Food Service Coordinator/Cafe Chef (In‑School, No Nights/Weekends)

About the role

Red Rabbit is seeking a detail‑oriented Food Service Coordinator to manage in‑school meal operations in Bronx, NY. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will act as the operational bridge between the kitchen team and school partners, ensuring meals are served accurately, safely, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily meal service, guaranteeing correct portioning, compliance with NSLP standards, and timely delivery.
• Stage and present meals to create an appealing and organized service line for students.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming service area that enhances the dining experience.
• Track and record meal counts, operational data, and required documentation in company systems.
• Support compliance with NSLP requirements, company policies, and allergy protocols in partnership with the Compliance Team.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the kitchen and school partners, addressing operational concerns and keeping leadership informed.
