About the role
The Food Hub Driver is the public face of a community‑oriented food distribution network, responsible for safe, timely and undamaged pickup and delivery of food products. The role requires extended time on the road, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a 24‑foot refrigerated box truck to pick up and deliver Food Hub products.
- Inspect and verify product quality and quantity during each pickup.
- Identify and report food safety risks using Safe Food Handling training.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and records for regulatory compliance.
- Monitor vehicle and refrigeration system condition, reporting issues promptly.
- Perform daily food safety and sanitation tasks on the vehicle.
- Provide courteous, professional service to partners and customers.
- Participate in regular check‑ins, self‑reviews, peer reviews, and assist with staff training.
Required profile
- Comfortable driving large vehicles for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and record‑keeping skills.
- Strong communication abilities to keep relevant parties informed.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Forward‑thinking and flexible approach to changing situations.
