Logistics Operator Associate – Manufacturing & Supply Chain

About the role

Join BASF’s Catalysts division as a Logistics Operator Associate at the Savannah facility. You will support the production and distribution of catalyst technologies that improve air quality and enable cleaner fuels.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment such as blowers, valves, filters, baggers, and pumps following safety standards.
• Drive mobile equipment—including forklifts, yard trucks, and rail‑car movers—to handle material movement.
• Load and unload van trailers, bulk trucks, and railcars while ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements.
• Load 20‑foot and 40‑foot ocean containers for customer shipments, guaranteeing accuracy and on‑time delivery.
• Coordinate daily activities with team members to meet production and shipping goals and participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Willingness to work a 12‑hour rotating shift in a continuous‑operations setting.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Experience with mobile material‑handling equipment (yard trucks, rail‑car movers).
• Basic knowledge of plant equipment monitoring and safety procedures.
