Food Clerk (Receiving Clerk)

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Food Clerk (listed as Receiving Clerk) in Danville. The role creates a fresh, welcoming and well-run store experience in the Fresh departments, combining product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude with a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
