About the role
Join the Homewood Mountain & Lake Club team as a Food & Beverage Supervisor, leading a vibrant front‑of‑house crew in a scenic Lake Tahoe resort setting. You will ensure exceptional service, uphold quality standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Key responsibilities
- Team Leadership – supervise and mentor front‑of‑house staff, provide training and constructive feedback.
- Operations – oversee daily venue operations, manage schedules and monitor staff performance.
- Guest Experience – ensure prompt, courteous service and address guest concerns professionally.
- Beverage Quality – maintain high standards in preparation and presentation of food and drinks.
- Inventory & Stock Management – order supplies, monitor stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks.
- Compliance – enforce state and local alcohol service laws, including ID verification.
- Staff Training – deliver ongoing mixology, customer service and safety training.
- Sales & Promotions – collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on promotional activities and events.
- Financial Management – oversee cash handling, balance drawers and manage POS systems.
- Cleanliness & Maintenance – keep the outlet clean, organized and coordinate maintenance needs.
- Event Support – assist in planning and executing special events and private functions.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of food & beverage experience.
- At least 1 year in a leadership service role.
- Strong leadership ability and accountability.
- Knowledge of HACCP and local food safety standards.
- High School diploma; hospitality degree preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and long hours.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment and stay calm under pressure.
- Physical capacity to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Required skills
- HACCP and food safety compliance.
- Inventory management and ordering.
- POS system operation and cash handling.
- Understanding of state and local alcohol service regulations.
