Food & Beverage Purchasing Receiver

About the role

The F&B Purchasing Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming food and beverage deliveries for Homewood Mountain & Lake Club. The role ensures accurate verification against purchase orders, proper storage, and timely distribution to various departments in a fast‑paced resort environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and inspect all deliveries for quality, temperature, and damage, matching quantities and pricing to purchase orders and invoices.
• Enter received items and invoices into the inventory system and forward documentation to Purchasing and Accounting.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies, process returns, and manage credit requests with vendors.
• Store perishable items in dry storage, walk‑in coolers, freezers, and liquor rooms using FIFO procedures and proper labeling.
• Distribute goods to kitchen, bars, retail, housekeeping, and other departments, ensuring timely delivery.
• Assist with monthly inventory counts, monitor stock levels, and report low or overstock situations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in receiving, purchasing, warehouse, or inventory roles, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, verifying, and documenting items.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift/carry items up to 50 lb and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions.
