About the role
The Floating Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a residential community. This position handles day‑to‑day accounting, rent collection, invoicing, and reporting to ensure smooth financial performance.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments.
- Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and process month‑end close.
- Generate financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Enter and update data in the property management software (Yardi/OneSite), ensuring system integrity.
- Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
- Submit vendor and contractor invoices, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and coordinate approvals.
- Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and court representation.
- Process resident move‑outs, calculate applicable fees, and handle deposit dispositions.
Required profile
- Experience performing accounting and bookkeeping tasks in a property‑management environment.
- Familiarity with rent collection, invoice processing, and bank reconciliation.
- Ability to communicate clearly with residents, vendors, and internal teams.
- Attention to detail and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Yardi property‑management software.
- Proficiency with OneSite property‑management software.
