Flight Line Mechanic - A220 (2nd Shift)

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Flight Line Mechanic for the A220 program on the 2nd shift at its Mobile Manufacturing Facility. The role involves performing functional test procedures, pre‑ and post‑flight inspections, and supporting aircraft readiness for test flights and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Final Test Procedure (FTP), daily inspections, and post‑dock maintenance to prepare aircraft for test flight.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace aircraft systems and components, including landing gear, flight controls, anti‑icing, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, and cabin interiors.
• Perform refuel/defuel operations, aircraft jack and tow tasks, and handle hazardous material according to policy.
• Document work in compliance with company procedures and participate in continuous improvement of troubleshooting skills.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of aviation experience, preferably in manufacturing or repair.
• Valid A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) license.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with aircraft test equipment and tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities for aircraft systems.
• Experience with hydraulic, engine oil, tire/strut services, and hazardous material handling.
