About the role
Meijer is hiring a Fleet Mechanic in its Outbound Logistics department in Lansing. The mechanic performs repair work and preventive maintenance on Meijer-owned tractor and trailers, adhering to Federal DOT standards. The job profile is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned.
Key responsibilities
- Perform all preventive maintenance and major repairs on Meijer-owned rolling stock in line with Federal DOT standards.
- Carry out repair work and preventive maintenance on Meijer-owned tractors and trailers.
Required profile
- A combined total of twelve months of experience in the listed categories.
- At least one year of experience on disc/drum ABS air brake systems, including mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs.
- Experience in welding and fabrication.
