Fitness Trainer – Group Classes & Member Support

About the role

Planet Fitness is seeking an energetic Fitness Trainer to lead the PE@PF group fitness program and help members achieve their health goals. You will design simple workout plans, instruct proper equipment use, and create a welcoming, judgment‑free environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and schedule PE@PF classes, ensuring they meet club size and traffic requirements.
• Consult with members on fitness goals, demonstrate safe equipment usage, and develop bi‑weekly exercise updates.
• Promote class sign‑ups through creative marketing ideas.
• Assist with front‑desk duties: answer phones, check‑in members, handle new‑member sign‑ups, give tours, and update member accounts.
• Maintain club cleanliness and appearance.

Required profile

• Honesty, strong work ethic, punctuality and reliability.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer‑service skills.
• Passion for fitness and health.
• Ability to empathize, problem‑solve and interact professionally with members and coworkers.
• Completed fitness trainer certification.
