Finisher II – Manufacturing Role (2nd/3rd Shift)

About the role

Moog is seeking a Finisher II to join its Space and Defense Group on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role is based onsite in East Aurora, NY, and includes a $3,500 sign‑on bonus for qualified applicants. You will work with operation sheets, blueprints, and complex aircraft components to ensure high‑quality finishes.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret operation sheets, blueprints, and sketches to plan the full sequence of work.
• Select, sharpen, and fabricate special tooling as required for each job.
• Choose appropriate lighting aids, inspection gauges, and visual magnification to meet quality specifications.
• Perform finishing work on complex bodies with multiple internal hole intersections.
• Instruct and assist other Finisher II employees on new jobs and methods.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a Finisher in a machine‑shop environment.
• Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Tool selection, sharpening, and custom tool fabrication.
• Use of inspection gauges, lighting aids, and visual magnification equipment.
