Finisher I – 3rd Shift (Buffalo, NY)

About the role

Moog is seeking a Finisher I to work the 3rd shift on its Buffalo, NY site. The finisher removes burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from precision aerospace components, ensuring they meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards before inspection and assembly. This hands‑on position is essential for delivering reliable parts for demanding military applications.

Key responsibilities

• Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined components.
• Inspect finished parts for defects that could affect performance or compliance.
• Prepare components for the next production stage by cleaning and ensuring they are safe for inspection, assembly, or shipment.
• Support product durability by guaranteeing proper finishing before downstream processes.
• Help prevent structural failures and assembly issues by eliminating excess material and manufacturing defects.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to follow verbal, written, and computer instructions in English.
• At least 3 months of related experience, including deburring or finishing in a machine‑shop environment.
• Enrollment in Moog’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program as required by FAA safety‑sensitive work regulations.
